Possible to turn off new user upgrades and let existing ones expire?

I'm expecting this is the case, but need to confirm.
If we trial a new user upgrade with recurring payments, but we decide to remove the user upgrade, if we

• untick Recurring payments and
• untick Can be purchased

then no new upgrades can be purchased and existing upgrades will continue until they expire at the time they are due to?
