Planning to travel 20 million blocks to build the most isolated base with a group of friends, any advice?

I'm planning to travel 20 million blocks with a group of my close friends (4 total) and start an insanely isolated base over the course of whenever we can be on and we plan to make it a somewhat straight line but does anyone have any advice? Any tips and tricks are appreciated morale isn't much of an issue as we've done this type of thing before and have traveled 100,000-125,000 blocks in a day's work.
