 | To me, it was Null. Herobrine was somewhat scary, but he had lore and a backstory. You knew how he behaved. It's like he trolls you, but in a twisted way. But Null? His goal wasn't to troll/mess with you.. it was to *delete* you. And that was horrifying to me as a kid.. I remember loading up Minecraft java back in 2015 or so and being afraid to go into caves but every dark patch looked like Null, haha.
