Okay how do I make a mine entrance for a hole that just goes basically straight down into the earth?

I’m kind of new and built a mine entrance for a horizontal cave entrance before, but scratching my head on figuring out how to best utilize this big “Sparta-hole” I built my 5-year old’s “pink kingdom” around.
