Hello, and thank you for your interest in Odyssey's Edge; Rise of Kings! First off, our server has a minimum age requirement of 16 years old. There are no exceptions to this rule. Now for the fun part:
What is Odyssey's Edge?
Odyssey's Edge is a new role-playing SMP/Geopolitical server with war. Players who join us will have the opportunity to work together to form a welcoming, friendly community with an emphasis on narration and strong storytelling. Together, we will rewrite history, and experience geopolitical politics on a level that has never been experienced before. Players can become Kings, rising through the ranks of the world. War is gruesome and devastating. New policy and agreements can be struck up. Where will you stand in history?
Who are we?
We are an SMP with a heavy emphasis on roleplay and politics. We're a dedicated team of server owners that have worked tirelessly to create this project and bring it to life. We have run many servers in the past, and are hoping to create a home and community in Odyssey's Edge. We hope you're eager to become apart of it!
How do the politics work?
Odyssey’s Edge is first and foremost, a geopolitical server. In light of this, the staff team creates and drives the server behind this concept. Politics is defined as the activities associated with the governance of a country or other area, especially the debate or conflict among individuals or parties having or hoping to achieve power. Odyssey’s Edge is known for its conflict, which may or may not resolve through typical means such as discussion or agreements, this is one time when war may occur.
Politics is handled through Political Summits. Political Summits are done in the Summit Hall at our spawn, which is a formal invitation for all leaders to discuss territory, matters of operation, concerns, and suggestions for one another. It is here that OFFICIAL matters are discussed and drafted. The very world of Odyssey’s Edge is shaped by its Kings. These summits are set to address policies of all sorts, potential war, conflict, and territory deals. Items can even be outlawed in these summits! It is up to you, the ruler.
Our vision is to create a diverse and connected world where players create their own nations, identities, religions, and even cultures. We have great interest in a historical precedent from nations that have already existed. We have a whitelist application designed to cater to individuals who are dedicated and interested in Geopolitical lite-RP.
Players also have the chance to make a name for themselves in our work-in-progress wiki page. We hope to document every major conflict and player.
