| | My mom's laptop can't handle Minecraft java edition, so she plays bedrock. At first we just took over a village and I built a house from a YouTube tutorial. My mom didn't know that people can build some pretty incredible things and went down a rabbit hole of builds. She has no idea what World Edit is and neither do I. She found a video of some content creators (I don't know their name otherwise I would @) and decided she wanted to build Barad-dur. I tried to explain to her that it was probably done with world edit, but she decided she wanted to do it herself and in survival, based off of a 1:30 second sped up video. It took her 14-15 days. She did the first third in survival and I helped her gather all materials. Eventually, her build got taller and she kept falling (she's terrible at parkour lol). The rest of the build was done in creative. It took 9 days just to build the first third of the tower in survival. I understand that creative isn't a super "wow", but my mom is nearly 60 and still keyboard turns. During this build she discovered that you can drag materials during crafting to divide easier. She also learned you can hold shift to pick up the entire stack. If that doesn't give you an idea of how non-experienced she is, I'm not sure how else to get the point across haha. I am super proud of her, she is so proud of herself, and I just felt like sharing because I'm proud of her lol https://preview.redd.it/019u17z8t53...bp&s=61b614231998cbf71ae9f3d42d4a1179b6e71189 submitted by /u/Capable_Challenge494 [link] [comments] |
