I've lost all of my son's worlds, is there any hope of recovery??

I'm desperately trying to fix this before my 8 year old wakes up.

I was trying to update his game and uninstalled it by mistake, I'm such an idiot. He plays on an Amazon Fire tablet.

I thought I'd be able to retrieve them once I reinstalled the game as he was logged into his Microsoft account. They're all gone.

I feel terrible, he's put so much time and effort into these worlds. I want to cry.

I've been reading other threads on this and it seems there is little hope...

Is there anything I can try??
