Is there an efficient way of gathering a lot of lava ?

I’m planning a massive lava moat around a build of mine and I really don’t want to have to go back and forth through the nether to keep getting lava. I made a drip stone farm but it takes forever to fill up a cauldron and would be just as fast to go to and from the nether. Help
