I'm glad to be apart of the forums. Been looking for a community such as this for a while for Minecraft.
Here's a little about myself. I do a lot of volunteer QA testing for mods across many different games including Minecraft mods. Although, it does suck the enjoyment out of some of these projects, it truly brings a smile to my face seeing others enjoy a polished and bug-free first impression of whatever project they're experiencing for the first time.
One of my favourite past times is exploring Minecraft maps. I love finding diamonds in the rough, especially ones that feel "lived in" rather than just a small purpose-built worlds, I love exploring and going off the beaten path and uncovering the story of that world save. Too many maps these days are all done with world edit and in creative mode.
