I have no clue if this is a hot take, but “game drops” might be the best decision that Mojang has made in a very long time. Constantly getting smaller but strong and more focused updates to the game IMO feels so much better than waiting for 6 months to get an update that ultimately feels disappointing due to how long we waited for it.
It feels like Mojang has more freedom to really improve specific parts of the game now that would have gone ignored before because they didn’t fit into a larger update. Happy Ghasts specifically and new uses for Copper are both awesome ideas, and I’m very happy with this new course correction Mojang’s been doing by adding stuff people have been begging for like fireflies and copper golems.
TL;DR: It really feels like this new update schedule is going to allow Mojang to better listen to the community and push out stronger updates without overworking their employees.
