I don't mind granite, but what I really get peeved about

Granite is supposed to be a very hard rock, impossible for tools such as iron to mine out.

I think it would have been a far more interesting game if everytime I come across Granite, I have to mine around it, creativity is always enhanced by restrictions.

Any mods which fix this?
