How to add a custom button to editor

Hello everyone,

I'm building an add-on for XenForo 2.3.7 and need to add a custom button to the editor toolbar.

Can someone provide a working example of:

1. The XML template modification (if needed)
2. The JavaScript code to register the button

I want to add a simple button that inserts a custom BB Code tag.
