how best to do enhanced User searches ?

please excuse what might be a real n00b question:
we often want to search our forums for things like:

• “most active posters in the past 30 days from a specified user group”
• “posts that have received the most in the past 30 days”
• “most active forum members (most time spent on the forums) in the past 30 days"

afaik there are no built-in features with that kind of granularity, though I’d be happy to be shown there is!
