Hello fellow friends, I am unjoinable from Asia. I am 16 and currently working on my own SMP / Survival based Minecraft Server. I am a part-time developer with having experience in Java. I have used Java for 1 year 2 months. For better part of my journey I coded a Hypixel Skyblock Remake. Though I discovered copying something is quite boring so I am out here making my own server. I plan on making it really high quality and soon releasing it.
Hypixel Skyblock Remake -> I worked on it for 2 years using Skript and released it is not quite good enough. Skript was really limiting and not giving me enough of that OOP aspect of programming. It was quite frustrating and boiler plate code. It was quite buggy too due to how Skript handles things. When I switched to Java it took me nearly 6 months to get on proper track. I challenged my self and used entirely new server code named MineStom was quite fun ngl. I managed to create all 2000+ items of skyblock in my own server. Abilities and stuff wasnt coded yet but I did add some mobs to play with. Code is over 3k lines long and had some nice code practices.
I used to own a pixelmon server too at some point but that didn't go too well since 2nd owner basically left out of thin air. Though Pixelmon is quite fun, I had hard time making that server due to it being modded Arclight n hybrid servers aren't exactly too optimized or friendly overall. 3/5 experience
Nowadays I mostly do irl stuff or make my server. it is still in works I plan to make it slightly grindy but have nice player to player interaction and less afk ways. If its allowed I will make a post about my server when I open it ig. I plan to keep the community really nice and no toxic. Keeping p2w factors really low so u cannot pay 1k-2k usd and be same as a player who grinded 500hrs. You know what I mean. Anyways this was my past year in a nutshell feel free to ask questions.
