| | I originally thought the warden was just a annoying mob to work around. It didnt drop any items, next to no experience, mostly an annoyance at the end game, and just slows you down overall. But that changed when my friends and I decided to raid an ancient city to get the Otherside music disc by Lena Raine. For context, this is the first time for most of us to actually play minecraft that isnt in creative or modded (aside from voice chat) in years, so most of us were clueless or misinformed on what the ancient city (or modern minecraft in general) had in store for us. Long story short, we died. A lot. We dropped our items in the Ancient City when we first died, so the whole thing basically turned into an extraction style dungeon crawler. We set our respawn point in a safe area and kept going back in to recover our gear bit by bit. After about two hours, we managed to clear roughly 70% of the city, recover most of the important items, and secure the Otherside disc. At that point we were exhausted, and the remaining 30% just wasn’t worth the trouble, so we called it a day. Anyways, that stuff was fun! Probably the most fun we had on the server yet. Maybe its because I was in the company of friends but the Warden is alright. Terrifying too. submitted by /u/RecklessErves [link] [comments] |
