Efficient way to mine Netherite?

We have a tunnel system that goes down to y=15, with long tunnels branched out on each side going forward. We usually fill a strip with TNT for a chain reaction but I still get maybe 0-1 ancient debris per strip afterwards. Is mining netherite this tedious or are we just in a bad spot for it? I hate the amount of lava pockets or else I'd make a new tunnel elsewhere
