CivFun is a remarkable and highly immersive civilization simulation within Minecraft. It incorporates carefully crafted mods to add a unique and enjoyable twist to the game. The modpack draws inspiration from both Vanilla Minecraft, as outlined in the esteemed Little Green Book of Game Design by Jeb, exclusively available to Mojang developers, and the guiding principles of the Create Mod.
Unlike typical gameplay experiences that emphasize rushing to the end and achieving victory, CivFun encourages players to embrace a more gradual progression. The focus lies in learning, exploration, and savoring small victories along the way. The modpack introduces thrilling elements such as airship battles, ship battles, cannons, tanks, guns, nukes, rockets, missiles, nuclear warfare, modern warfare, computers, technology, and industrial-scale manufacturing. Additionally, it fosters a sense of community, offers opportunities for creative storytelling, enhances security measures, and presents an alternative approach to vaultcraft that doesn't demand sacrificing your life to design schizo bunkers.
Throughout the game, players will advance through different technological eras, acquiring knowledge of new items and machines. Instead of constructing static multiblock structures that merely handle inputs and outputs, players will need to engineer their own solutions, with the manufacturing process of various items representing a crucial aspect.
