The default "What's New" page makes forums uncompetitive in the modern social media landscape:

• No content preview
• No way to submit a new post
• No forum list
• Low information density and duplicated content
• 'Latest activity' tab is full of clutter content types: likes, etc.
• Too many tabs which are unused...
