Ever heard of loadshedding? Well, if it hits your country, prepare yourself for the worse if you're a builder that scoffs at the idea of backing up your work on a regular basis. Regional power outages can range from 4 to ten hours of no electricity at ANY given time. Pissing your pants won't alleviate the problem, so pushing through with commitment will likely be the only ephemeral solution if you live in Southern Africa at present.
Having lost a crucial part of my progress is partly why this particular build took so long to complete. Considering the state of affairs essentially grounding its protesting denizens, I might as well be neutral on the topic and do what I love in my free time despite the political turbulence.
Geopolitical nonsense aside, I can finally put my first build of the year to rest with a detailed touch.

Initially intended to be a cottage, I progressively shifted my approach towards a formalized expression with an amalgamation of different structural elements that expands upon the diversity of what is being presented. Seeing that the inclusion of sandstone is nothing to write home about in terms of palette and gradients, the mixture of darker elements clearly worked from my personal perspective. The transitional quality and value of sandstone in this case were a treat that replenished the cookie jar from start to finish, intermittently paired and layered with different flavors that made the build come to life in her own respect.

Aside from past projects and selective commissions, I haven't really meddled with Mesas before. That being the case, it naturally follows that my current choice would gravitate towards the diversity of different biomes with a framework of survival in mind. Instead of focusing on aesthetics, which is abundantly present, the main goal was to predominately add a level of function and sensible light distribution to the overall expression of the build without 1) breaking the scale, and 2) dotting light sources beyond the "Holy shit" level.

Although I was partially satisfied with a single floor, adding three more was honestly warranted by extension of walking the extra mile for those who show interest.
Ironically, the interiors almost matched the amount of time spend raising the exterior from the ground, often whipped out and reconstructed entirely because of external incoherence tangent to the exterior. This is partially blamed on the lack planning, seeing that the build didn't follow a predetermined direction aside from a randomly constructed baseline that made the rest of the build more prevalent with progress. Despite it, I carefully constructed all interiors with a critical eye, incorporating invisible frames, barriers, and WE methods to reach the desired result.

Color selection on flooring and wall diversity had to take its course, simply because I didn't have a scale to work with that afforded two-layered walls that would have applied as flip tones. Besides, terracotta variations arranged as rugs helped with color scattering that produced the illusion of filled spaces in wide areas.
Underground channels and anachronistic features were grafted into the build for an extra touch, complimented by dangers and hidden chests.
The nuance of the build is best preserved for personal exploration, so a total breakdown would be a bit of a stretch.
