Help Servers how to go back versions in worlds?

hello, does anyone know if there is a way to go back versions in a world without corrupting it, just replace the blocks that are not of the version

what I want to do is use a world from a version 1.16 (with some blocks from 1.16) use it in 1.12.2
I don't know what would be the correct way to do it

Edit the world file with a minecraft files editor
They are encrypted, so, these editors are the only way to change versions
