customizing the post attribution header??

What I want to do is rip off "thread highlight" gadget that kiwifarms has that pops up in the attribution bar of each post if the post gets enough reactions. I can code this easy; what I could never figure out because the XF forums had it paywalled was how to edit and change the attribution bar in the first place; I couldn't even find out what template it's located in



This is what I'm trying to create my own version of. It's pretty simple, post gets <than X reaction points, slap the highlight on it with buttons to go to the next and last highlight; but how do I add this to my own site in the first place. Which templates do I edit? Is there a preexisting addon that I can just add instead?

Help a buddy out.

This is an interesting feature. I'm not exactly sure where that content is showing up as KiwiF is no longer available.
